Wabi Sabi

Wabi Sabi

This small wooden shack-like restaurant can be found in Asakusa, Tokyo, near the popular Senso-ji temple grounds. The simplistic, yet rustic nature of Japan's aesthetics is shoved into a word called Wabi Sabi. This embodies the idea that nothing is perfect, and shouldn't be visually represented as such. Things are weathered, rough, yet simple and humble.
