Fuji-San

Fuji-San

In comparison to Hawai'i's Mauna Kea, which is notorious for being a shy mountain with it's cloud cover, Mount Fuji is a bubbly social butterfly. Mount Fuji is called Fuji-san to the Japanese, as if another person casually walking among the crowd. Shinto beliefs say that every thing in nature has a spirit, and the older that thing, the more pronounced it's spirit. Fuji-san must be a prolific individual, if this is the case.
